Rules of Play

We want everyone to have a great time at Jabberwocky and ask everyone to abide by our Rules of Play. These rules exist to ensure that everyone at Jabberwocky stays safe and happy. Acceptance of them is a condition of entry. Jabberwocky reserves the right to refuse admission.

Family Fun

We are here to provide a safe and clean environment for every guest – of whatever age – to enjoy and have fun. All children are allowed full use of the play equipment, specific to their age – baby area for those under 2 years and main play frame for those 2 and over – and activities available at the time of their visit.

For safety reasons, we kindly request that unless helping a child, adults do not go onto the play frame.

Our staff know their most important role is to help everyone enjoy their visit to Jabberwocky. However, supervision of children remains the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult. Also, since germs and sickness are best left at home, please bring any children who are sick or injured to enjoy Jabberwocky another day.

Pay to Play

Entry cost qualifies guests for a single 90 minute session. Babies under the age of 1, adults and older children who do not wish to use the play frame are welcomed free.

Keeping Jabberwocky Clean

We take pride in our business and have invested in facilities to make sure we keep to the highest standards. To help us, please encourage all children to use the toilet before becoming distracted in play. Our toilets and baby change areas are inspected regularly. We ask that no food or drink is to be taken into the play area.

Socks Only

Shoes must be removed before entering the play areas and socks must be worn at all times. Please leave children’s shoes at reception, as this helps to keep the café area and play area clean. We ask that you remove any jewellery or potentially sharp objects before entering the play area or joining in play activities.

Curious Appetites

Our food hygiene regulations restrict the consumption of food and drink purchased elsewhere so, with the exception of baby food, only food and drink bought on the premises may be consumed. If you any have concerns about ingredients that may cause allergic reactions, please ask a member of our staff who will be able to advise on content.

For our Youngest Guests

We have facilities to warm food or milk as needed. However we cannot be responsible for the temperature at which the food is given to your child. We are part of the Breastfeeding Friendly scheme and welcome nursing mothers.

Please use the facilities in the baby changing toilets for changing and disposal of nappies. Nappies can be purchased from reception.

Cheshire Smile!

State of the art technology has been installed at Jabberwocky to keep everyone safe and secure.

Common Sense Manners

Obviously we can’t have any bullying at Jabberwocky, so anyone who shows persistently rough or unsociable behaviour will sadly be asked to leave, after one warning. This decision is entirely at the discretion of the management, and no refunds will be given.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

We can’t have anyone deliberately damaging the play structures or any part of Jabberwocky. Anyone who ignores this rule will be expected to pay for repairs.

Accidents Happen

Whilst every precaution is taken to ensure your time here is a positive and happy one, accidents may happen. Any accident must be reported to a member of staff and documented for our records. Our staff have access to First Aid and a trained First Aider is always available.

Not Our Fault

Jabberwocky does not accept responsibility for:

  • Items lost or stolen from the premises
  • Loss or injury caused through misuse of play facilities or lack of adequate supervision by an accompanying responsible adult.
